    2. Al Sharpton: Al Sharpton, born in 1954, is an American civil rights activist, minister, and television host. He spent part of his childhood in Grant Houses and is known for his work in the civil rights movement and as the founder of the National Action Network.

    3. Vin Diesel: Vin Diesel, born Mark Sinclair in 1967, is an American actor, producer, and director. He spent part of his childhood in Grant Houses and is known for his work in films such as “The Fast and the Furious” franchise, “xXx,” and “Pitch Black.”
    4. Herb Alpert: Herb Alpert, born in 1935, is an American musician, composer, and record executive. He spent part of his childhood in Grant Houses and is known for his contributions to the music industry, particularly as the founder of A&M Records.

    5. Carlos Cooks: Carlos Cooks (1913-1966) was an American activist, writer, and leader of the Universal Negro Improvement Association. He spent part of his childhood in Grant Houses and is known for his work in the Pan-African movement.
